Pracuje s humorom a cynizmom, nie s poslan\u00edm politickej v\u00fdpovede. R\u00e1d udr\u017eiava div\u00e1ka v pozore a upozor\u0148uje na materi\u00e1ly vytvoren\u00e9ho objektu alebo obrazu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Roman Bicek sa narodil v Bratislave. Punk a subkult\u00fary ovplyvnili jeho mlados\u0165. Po rokoch v Bratislave sa jeho rodina pres\u0165ahovala do Anglicka, a&nbsp;tak Roman v dvan\u00e1stich rokoch Bratislavu op\u00fa\u0161\u0165a a&nbsp;nov\u00fdm domovo sa st\u00e1va Lond\u00fdn. Tu Roman str\u00e1vil svoju mlados\u0165 skateboardingom a po\u010d\u00favan\u00edm tvrdej hudby 80. a 90. rokov. Ke\u010f\u017ee si musel n\u00e1js\u0165 \u010das aj na angli\u010dtinu, dostal sa ku komiksom a ilustr\u00e1ci\u00e1m. Vizu\u00e1lny jazyk za\u010dal nabera\u0165 na d\u00f4le\u017eitosti, ke\u010f\u017ee jeho slobodn\u00e9 vyjadrovanie prostredn\u00edctvom nov\u00e9ho jazyka bolo obmedzen\u00e9. V&nbsp;Lond\u00fdne vy\u0161tudoval Wimbledon School of Art. V roku 2000 sa vr\u00e1til nasp\u00e4\u0165 do Bratislavy, kde \u0161tudoval na Vysokej \u0161kole v\u00fdtvarn\u00fdch umen\u00ed v 4. ateli\u00e9ri Prof. Ivana Csudaia, akad. mal.. Po skon\u010den\u00ed \u0161koly \u017eil v Prahe, \u0160tokholme a moment\u00e1lne sa zdr\u017eiava v Bratislave, v Petr\u017ealke.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Roman Bicek sa vo svojej tvorbe zaober\u00e1 predov\u0161etk\u00fdm ma\u013ebou, kresbou a kol\u00e1\u017eou. V\u00fdjavy z ka\u017edodenn\u00e9ho \u017eivota kombinuje s obrazmi z m\u00e9di\u00ed, pri ktor\u00fdch doch\u00e1dza k vytrhnutiu z p\u00f4vodn\u00e9ho kontextu a z\u00edskavaniu nov\u00fdch s\u00favislost\u00ed a narat\u00edvu. Jeho diela s\u00fa uvo\u013enen\u00e9, expres\u00edvne, no st\u00e1le si ponech\u00e1vaj\u00fa n\u00e1dych ir\u00f3nie \u2013 aj vo\u010di samotn\u00e9mu m\u00e9diu ma\u013eby. Ma\u013ebu v s\u00fa\u010dasnom umen\u00ed Roman vn\u00edma tak, \u017ee je st\u00e1le za\u0165a\u017een\u00e1 svojimi dejinami a tie\u017e dejinami umenia, v ktor\u00fdch st\u00e1la na \u010dele mnoho storo\u010d\u00ed. A s t\u00fdm sa ako maliar mus\u00edte vysporiada\u0165, ak chcete by\u0165 s\u00fa\u010dasn\u00fdm umelcom. Kol\u00e1\u017e sa u Biceka st\u00e1va nosite\u013eom v\u00fdznamu, ale aj odrazov\u00fdm most\u00edkom, v\u00fdchodiskom k \u010fal\u0161ej, maliarskej f\u00e1ze. T\u00e1to sa d\u00e1 definova\u0165 ako forma kvalitat\u00edvneho v\u00fdskumu, kde s\u00fa vybran\u00e9 mot\u00edvy spracovan\u00e9 kresebne \u010di maliarsky. Ide preva\u017ene o gestick\u00e9, p\u00f4vodne figur\u00e1lne ma\u013eby, kde doch\u00e1dza k \u010fal\u0161iemu typu extrahovania inej, \u010disto maliarskej esencie. Pr\u00e1ve tu vstupuje do hry funkcia a mot\u00edv r\u00e1mu, ktor\u00fd nem\u00e1 podporn\u00fd, \u010di ohrani\u010duj\u00faci charakter, ale st\u00e1va sa potenci\u00e1lnym in\u0161tala\u010dn\u00fdm prvkom. Tematicky Bicekove ma\u013eby odkazuj\u00fa predov\u0161etk\u00fdm na dejiny umenia. M\u00e1me mo\u017enos\u0165 vidie\u0165 parafr\u00e1zu na Rembrandtov \u00danos Eur\u00f3py, Nebukadnesara od Wiliama Blakea, Matissov Tanec, ale aj re\u010dniaceho Benita Mussoliniho opieraj\u00faceho sa o kvetinu\u2026 Prostredn\u00edctvom uveden\u00fdch aleg\u00f3ri\u00ed n\u00e1m Roman sprostredk\u00fava spr\u00e1vu o s\u00fa\u010dasnom stave sveta na jednej strane, ale z\u00e1rove\u0148 tematizuje aj postavenie umelca, \u010di jeho \u00falohu v spolo\u010dnosti. N\u00e1jdeme tu par\u00f3die, \u010di odkazy na ve\u013ek\u00e9 men\u00e1&nbsp;&nbsp;s\u00fa\u010dasn\u00e9ho umenia ako Luc Tuymans, Ai Weiwei, \u010di anonymn\u00e9ho maliara\/g\u00e9nia. V\u0161etk\u00fdch sp\u00e1ja ist\u00e1 izol\u00e1cia \u2013 v ateli\u00e9ri (Luc Tuymans),&nbsp;&nbsp;v r\u00e1me obrazu (anonymn\u00fd maliar), \u010di v spolo\u010denskej situ\u00e1cii (Ai Weiwei). Jednou z mo\u017enost\u00ed interpret\u00e1cie je poz\u00edcia umelca uzavret\u00e9ho v slonovinovej ve\u017ei vlastn\u00e9ho umenia, trhovej poz\u00edcie, alebo spolo\u010densk\u00e9ho statusu\u2026.. ale aj t\u00e1to samota, \u010di selfkomfort m\u00e1 svoje trhliny a poukazuje na fakt, \u017ee umelec, rovnako ako ka\u017ed\u00fd \u010dlovek nem\u00f4\u017ee existova\u0165 bez naplnenia z\u00e1kladn\u00fdch biologick\u00fdch,&nbsp;&nbsp;spolo\u010densk\u00fdch, \u010di&nbsp;&nbsp;ekonomick\u00fdch potrieb a od nich odvoden\u00e9 \u0161trukt\u00fary (mocensk\u00e9, intitucion\u00e1lne a trhov\u00e9) vpl\u00fdvaj\u00fa na ka\u017ed\u00e9ho z&nbsp;n\u00e1s.\u201c<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>D\u00f4le\u017eit\u00fdm momentom v&nbsp;Romanovej umeleckej \u201ekari\u00e9re\u201c bola aj mo\u017enos\u0165 interakcia s \u013eu\u010fmi, ku ktor\u00fdm by za norm\u00e1lnych okolnost\u00ed nedostala. Po rezidencii sa Roman op\u00e4\u0165 ponoril do pr\u00e1ce a pokra\u010doval vo svojich projektoch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Najnov\u0161\u00edm je aktu\u00e1lna v\u00fdstava s&nbsp;n\u00e1zvom <a href=\"https:\/\/vimeo.com\/612521868\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">What&#8217;s the Point<\/a>.&nbsp;<em>\u201ePo turbulentnom roku 2020 n\u00e1m Roman Bicek serv\u00edruje s\u00e9riu malieb s pomyselnou n\u00e1lepkou s varovan\u00edm o explicitnom obsahu. Bicek m\u00e1 superschopnos\u0165 naraz zhmotni\u0165 milu\u010dk\u00e9 i desiv\u00e9, podmaniv\u00e9 a odpudzuj\u00face. Viacer\u00e9 kr\u00edzy naokolo a v \u0148om ho posunuli inam ne\u017e smerom k priamo\u010diaremu h\u013eadaniu nov\u00fdch rie\u0161en\u00ed svojich obr\u00e1zkov. Aby sme sa naladili na jeho disonantn\u00e9 \u201etracky\u201c, vn\u00fatorn\u00e9 pochody, na ktor\u00e9 sme sa nep\u00fdtali, potrebujeme pochopi\u0165 Bicekovu povahu pedantsk\u00e9ho pozorovate\u013ea, pobaven\u00e9ho divn\u00fdmi detailmi, v\u00fdstrelkami a paradoxmi. Absorbuje inform\u00e1cie ako \u0161pongia ponoren\u00e1 vo sv\u00e4tenej vode pri vchode do kostola, hromadiac n\u00e1pady pok\u00fdm ich nevy\u0161plechne naspa\u0165 do tv\u00e1re falick\u00fdch sebaklamov totalitarizmov a konzervativizmu, rovnako ako do \u00fasmevu \u013eud\u00ed opit\u00fdch optimistick\u00fdmi v\u00edziami.
